Some odd yarn, knitting needles, filling, sewing needle for yarn.

Cast on 24 stitches.
Knit 52 rows (gives 26 ridges).
Cast off

Cast on 14 stitches. Knit 14 rows

Decrease for shaping of the ears:
Next row: Slip the first stitch on the right needle, knit 1 stitch and pass the slipped stitched over the knitted one. Repeat this for the next three rows (four decrease rows in total and 10 stitches are left)

and increase:
Next row: Make two stitches in the first stitch (knit into the front and back of the first stitch). Repeat this for the next three rows (four increase rows in total and 14 stitches are left)

Knit another 14 rows and cast off.

Cast on 16 stitches,
1st row: knit 16 stitches
2nd row: knit 10 stitches, slip 1, turn
3rd row: bring yarn back between the needles, slip next stitch, knit 10 stitches
4th row: knit 16 stitches
5th row: knit 16 stitches

Repeat row 1 to 5. Cast off.


Putting together:
(See photos in the right column.)
(I've used red and blue markers to make the following clear.)

Bring the top left red mark to the middle top blue and sew it together (photo 3).
Do the same with the opposite red mark (photo 4).
When you've sewn all four legs, stuff the body with filling and close the tummy (photo 5).

Fold the head, stuff it and stitch through the filling over the lines as drawn on photo 6. This will shape the ears.
Close the neck (pull the yarn a little bit to shape the head) and connect head to the body.

Sew the tail, stuff it and sew it on the appropriate spot.
